Qualcomm unveiled their latest fastest flagship processor which is going to be the Snapdragon 888 Plus. Snapdragon 888 Plus is coming with a 3 GHz CPU Core and improved AI engine which now performs about 20% better. The rest of the stuff is similar to Snapdragon 888 but you still get performance boost and a huge jump in AI based tasks.
Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 888 chip built with Samsung’s 5nm process in December last year. Xiaomi Mi 11 was the first to be commercialized, and then Samsung, Asus, Sony, and many other models also used the Snapdragon 888 chip. This chip has become the strongest processor in the Android mobile phone market. But this year, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 has a mediocre performance in the market. Because of the power consumption problem, the phone is easy to heat up, especially in summer.
Therefore, mobile phone users expect the next generation of processors to solve this problem. Although looking at it now, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 still has some problems with high power consumption and low heat during gaming. However, it is still the standard configuration of all major Android flagship phones. Now that more than half a year has passed, Qualcomm has conventionally released the most powerful mobile phone chip, an overclocked enhanced version of Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 888 Plus.
