Asus ROG Phone 5S: Snapdragon 888 Plus and even more RAM!
According to the leak this Wednesday, the Asus ROG Phone 5S will be a variant of the ROG Phone 5. This variant should not change many details in terms of design and specifications, but according to the source, we will see the integration of the new Snapdragon 888+, an improved version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 that equips the other variants of ROG Phone 5 and which should represent a Improved performance thanks to overclocking the CPU and the Adreno 660 GPU.
Another important issue will be the RAM memory of the Asus ROG Phone 5S. If on ROG Phone 5 the options can go up to 16GB of RAM in the “regular” version and 18GB of RAM in the ‘Pro’ version, the ‘S’ version will only have two configurations of 12 or 16GB, whereas, in storage, we will have 256 or 512GB options.
These are for now the known improvements that the Asus ROG Phone 5S could bring. So, we can also count on keeping the same 6.78 inch Full HD+ OLED screen, with variable refresh rate that can reach 144Hz in full performance mode, a 6,000 mAh mega battery and a 65W fast charging.
According to the source, the Asus ROG Phone 5S will be presented on the next 16th of August, so on that date it should be possible to confirm (or deny) all technical details about the new smartphone dedicated to intensive gaming sessions.
