Apple has a tradition of releasing flagship iPhone models every year, opting to take a little longer to bring to market a new version of its entry-level iPhone SE range.
The latest iPhone SE was introduced in 2020, but now signs are starting to appear that we will receive a new low-cost terminal next year. Unfortunately, the 2022 SE will bring few new features compared to its predecessor, keeping the iPhone 8-inspired design and updating only the internal components in order to make it more powerful.
The good news is that, according to the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is set to completely revolutionize the iPhone SE in 2023. First, the Cupertino tech must choose to change the product’s design, equipping it as well. with specifications more suited to the current needs of users.
Apple iPhone SE can Embrace Face-ID within 2 years
Kuo indicates that Apple will release two SE models in 2022 and 2023, with at least one of the variants getting 3GB of RAM. The 2023 iPhone SE will come equipped with 4GB of RAM memory and a screen with more generous dimensions, probably without the frames that characterize the current version and with Face-ID as a form of biometric authentication.
Ross Young, another known leaker of information related to smartphones from the American manufacturer, had already said that Apple will put a 4.7-inch SE on the market in 2022 but that in 2024 it would offer two variants with 5.7 and 6.1-inch screens. The dates suggested by the two analysts are different, but the period is not so different that it prevents us from considering that these rumors are well founded.
The 2022 model will then have a design similar to what has been in existence since the iPhone 6, but the next iPhone SE will look more like the iPhone XR.
